I’ve had my Xbox 360 for about five years and my PlayStation 3 for about three, but it’s only for the last two weeks that I’ve enjoyed them in surround sound.
I’ve upgraded my TV three times since getting the Xbox 360, but just haven’t gone the extra mile and gotten a big surround sound setup with all the right optical business going on. It’s always seemed unnecessary and too expensive, and will mean a few hundred extra cords added to the thousands that already lie tangled together in my lounge like some sort of bizarre piece of modern art.
