Norris Rancourt is selling the Citrus Heights store — yes, it’s located in Citrus Heights despite the Carmichael name — that he opened in Carmichael four decades ago. Rancourt is ready to retire. Well, really, he’s past ready to retire.

“I want to retire. I should have done it 10 years ago. I’m too old to not be retired,” said Rancourt, 77.

When Rancourt opened the car dealership in 1970, the store was the 29th Honda dealership in the United States, he said.

The terms of the deal are not being disclosed. The Maita organization is buying the business and the property, located at 6151 Auburn Blvd.
