Off the Beaten Path: Investing in outdoors

Even with recent heavy rains, Vermonters are emerg­ing from hibernation, and looking forward to their favor­ite fair weather outdoor ac­tivities. In a state known for its active people who love the outdoors, everyone seems to have a favorite ac­tivity, be it hiking, kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, camping or swimming.

Now is the time of year when many of us unpack our spring and summer clothes, tune up our bikes, and pre­pare our boats for the water (at least once Lake Cham­plain returns to normal lev­els). And it’s the time of year when we again consider what new items we need to buy in order to enjoy our many out­door hobbies.
