There’s no question that families are juggling more on their social activity calendars than ever before.   While some of this cannot be helped due to family logistics, some of it is easily our own doing because we want to make sure our kids have every opportunity available to them to try out new sports, hobbies and of course, stay busy with play dates. 

Though this can get hectic at times, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a scheduling disaster, especially if families still find the time and make it a priority to stay connected on a regular basis. 

This week, our NK Parents’ Council discussed ways in which their families stay grounded and don’t drift apart when life just seems to unfold all around them. Family fun nights seemed to be the unanimous common thread that our panel found to be glue that helped hold their families together when life gets crazy and harried. Here are some of the ideas that not only have they found to be successful but that their kids really look forward to on a regular basis.
