Comedy team set to liven up the south

Comedian Dai Henwood returns to Timaru this weekend with memories of a crazy old guy with a knife collection.

That's all Henwood can recall from his last visit, but says the gumboots and shorts are packed for a good time.

He joins Kiwi jokers Ben Hurley, Steve Wrigley and Vaughn King for an evening of laughter at the Theatre Royal.

The stars of television series 7Days are midway through a tour of heartland towns.

Henwood says he has visited Timaru once when he performed at a private function.

"We met a crazy old man who showed us his knife collection; that's all I can remember."
