A year ago, I bought "Crochet Today! Quick & Easy Gifts in 2009, which includes Amy O'Neill Houck of Socks Step-by-Step (Ravelry link). I carried the magazine to move into my travel bag last winter while working on my first pair of socks. I finally got wise and made a working copy of the structure and now carry it with me in my bag. The model is now stored, the more I made a number of changes (see note below), but I still have the model in my bag for quick reference, just in case.
